I opened Xcode for the very first time in 2012. Objective-C & Storyboards were mind-bending & so awesome to me then, and now I'm loving Swift & SwiftUI! Seeing the progression of Xcode & the languages/tech we use to accomplish all that we do as developers has been amazing!

The art of iOS development (Apple platform development) is absolutely incredible! I love making something out of nothing. Creating a thing as if were out of thin air. Something that didn't even exist before. Bringing designs to life. What an unreal experience!

But as much as I enjoy all of that, my priority is family. 🩷 No question. I'm also a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I feel it's so important to take care of yourself spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and to genuinely care for and serve those around you.

So as we all focus on developing our apps, writing our blogs, MRR, the heavy physical weight of Apple Vision Pro on our heads, and tweeting our tweets (long live Twitter! haha), I hope that we can all consistently stop and walk away from all of that on a regular basis. That we can look away from our screens and enjoy the present moment, the people we love, and the world around us. It's all we have, it's what matters most, and it's truly wonderful!
